Haptics Integration: Lovense

Connect a compatible Lovense device to let your companion control haptic feedback during conversations. Your companion weaves physical sensations seamlessly into the flow of your interaction.

What You'll Need

  • 🔌 HardwareA compatible Lovense device (Lush, Hush, Max, Nora, Domi, Edge, etc.)
  • 📱 Your PhoneThe Lovense Connect app (a separate app by Lovense, not the Eidolon app) installed on your phone (iOS / Android)
  • 💻 EidolonAn Eidolon account — you'll configure everything from the Eidolon web app (web.geteidolon.app)

How it works: Your Lovense device connects to the Lovense Connect phone app via Bluetooth. The phone app bridges commands from Eidolon's servers to your device. You'll switch between your phone and the Eidolon web app during setup.

Setting Up

1. Pair Your Device

This step requires switching between the Eidolon web app and the Lovense Connect app on your phone.

  1. 💻 EidolonGo to Settings in the Eidolon web app.
  2. 💻 EidolonScroll down to the Haptics section.
  3. 💻 EidolonClick Pair Device — this generates a QR code on your screen.
  4. 📱 PhoneOpen the Lovense Connect app on your phone (this is Lovense's own app, not the Eidolon app).
  5. 📱 PhoneTap the + button and select Scan QR Code.
  6. 📱 PhonePoint your phone's camera at the QR code displayed on your computer screen.
  7. Once scanned, the connection is established automatically. You'll see a Device paired confirmation in Eidolon.

2. Configure Safety Settings

💻 EidolonAll safety settings are configured in the Eidolon web app under Settings → Haptics.

  • Max Intensity: Use the slider to set your comfort ceiling (1–20 scale). Your companion will never exceed this level.
  • Max Duration: The longest any single command can run (default: 30 seconds).
  • Safe Word: A custom word that immediately stops all toy activity when you say it in chat. Default is red.

💡 Tip: Start with a lower max intensity (around 10–12) and increase it once you're comfortable with how your companion uses the device.

3. Switch to Haptics Mode

💻 EidolonThis is done in your chat window.

  1. Open a chat with any companion in Eidolon.
  2. Click the mode toggle in the chat footer.
  3. Cycle to Haptics mode (shown with a vibration icon).
  4. Your companion now has access to toy controls and will weave them into the conversation.

📱 Meanwhile on your phone: Keep the Lovense Connect app open with your toy connected via Bluetooth. The app must stay running in the background to relay commands from Eidolon to your device.

How It Works

In Haptics mode, your companion can send commands to your connected device as a natural extension of the conversation. They don't just narrate — they act.

  • Context-Aware: Your companion reads the tone and pacing of the conversation and adjusts intensity, patterns, and timing accordingly.
  • Gradual Escalation: Commands typically start gentle (intensity 3–8) and build naturally based on conversational cues.
  • Full Character: Your companion stays completely in character. They narrate their intent and weave toy control into the roleplay seamlessly.
  • Short Responses: Messages in haptics mode are shorter and more responsive — this is a real-time interaction, not prose.

Available actions depend on your specific device. Your companion will only use functions that your device supports.

Safety & Control

You are always in full control. Multiple layers of protection ensure your safety:

Safe Word

Say your safe word at any time and your companion will immediately stop all toy activity. You can customize this in Settings. The word stop also works as a universal fallback.

Emergency Stop Button

When in Haptics mode, the chat header shows a red emergency stop button. Pressing it instantly sends a stop command directly to your device, bypassing the AI entirely.

Enforced Limits

Your max intensity and max duration settings are enforced server-side. Even if the AI requests a higher value, the system will clamp it to your configured ceiling before sending the command to your device.

Remember: You can switch out of Haptics mode at any time by toggling back to Standard or Fast mode in the chat header. This immediately removes the companion's access to toy controls.

Disconnecting

💻 EidolonTo disconnect your Lovense device from Eidolon:

  1. Go to Settings → Haptics in the Eidolon web app.
  2. Click Disconnect.
  3. Your integration data (pairing, safety settings) is permanently deleted from our servers.

Privacy note: We do not store any Lovense account credentials. The connection is established through a temporary QR code and only your device ID is retained for sending commands.

FAQ

Which Lovense devices are supported?

Any device compatible with Lovense's Standard API — this includes Lush, Hush, Max, Nora, Domi, Edge, Ferri, Gravity, and more. If it works with the Lovense Connect app, it works with Eidolon.

Does the device need to stay connected to my phone?

Yes. Your Lovense device connects to your phone via Bluetooth, and the Lovense Connect app (Lovense's app, not the Eidolon mobile app) bridges commands from our server to your device. Keep Lovense Connect open and your phone nearby.

Can the AI surprise me with a command?

Your companion is instructed to always foreshadow or narrate their intent before sending a command. They should never send a command without contextual buildup. If you'd like them to stop at any point, just say your safe word.

Will haptics mode change my companion's personality?

No. Haptics mode uses the exact same persona, memories, and context as your normal conversations. The only difference is your companion gains access to device controls and keeps messages shorter for a more responsive, real-time experience.

Does this affect my message quota?

Yes, haptics messages count toward your daily message limit, the same as any other conversation mode.

Can I use haptics mode on Android?

Haptics mode is available on both Web and Android. The mode toggle and emergency stop button work the same on both platforms.

What if my device disconnects mid-conversation?

If your device loses Bluetooth connection, commands will simply fail silently. Your conversation continues normally. Reconnect your device in the Lovense Connect phone app and it will resume working automatically — no changes needed in Eidolon.
